The Athens-Oconee Federation Festival will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2027 at the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music. This will be a hybrid festival that offers students the opportunity to perform in person or by submitted video links.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, April 13, 2027
VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, April 19, 2027
Students enter two pieces. One selection is from a graded list that is published by the National Federation of Music Clubs. This list highlights American composers. The second piece is a choice composition that must match guidelines also outlined in the NFMC festival bulletin. To enter, the teacher must be a member of NFMC and GFMC. The cost per student is $25.

The NFMC Festivals Program is designed to give Junior (age 18 and younger) and Adult member musicians of all abilities the opportunity to perform and receive a yearly evaluation in a non-competitive environment. Participation in NFMC Festivals promotes music study, stimulates interest in the musical literature of both the USA and the world, and encourages each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement. The NFMC Festivals Cup Award Plan and Honor Certificates offer additional incentives to encourage continued participation in NFMC Festivals.
